Geslier's Game

In 2090, Region Five of the NewWorld, CEon Geslier hunts domestic terrorists and hears voices. The two details are directly related, tied together by the seminal event in CEon’s life, the death of his father, a Regional Defense Force Strike Team Operator killed by terrorists when CEon was twelve.

CEon dedicates his life to hunting the Deceivers, the terrorist group that murdered his father and wants to plunge the Government Network into the chaos and destruction of the OldWays. Over the course of his ten years as Strike Team Leader of elite Team VRTEX, CEon has killed more Deceivers than any other Spec Ops warrior since the fighting began after the Revo in 2035.

CEon believes the voices—of two genetically engineered assassins halfway around the globe—is his mind’s way of coping with the death of his father, but there’s a catch. The voices in his dreams point him to real events and people. And one of those leads is a Deceiver plot to take down New World City, CEon’s home, and then the entire World Government Network.
