Geslier's Game

In 2090 the New World is divided into Eight Regions. The vast majority of people live in Great Cities, walled off to protect Citizens from the forests and wildlife that reclaimed the suburbs decades ago. Anyone living outside the city walls is considered a Terrorist and an Enemy of Society. Inside the city walls, Undercover Investigators hunt the Sympathizers who provide aid and support for the terrorist Deceivers outside. 

Ceon Geslier is an Undercover Investigator in New World City, who hunts terrorists and hears voices. Ceon believes the voices of Tijo Voytas and Avee Chardna, two genetically engineered assassins in labs halfway around the world, are his mind’s way of coping with the loss of his father when he was a child. But there’s a catch. Everything Tijo and Avee tell Ceon comes true. And now they’re telling him they’re going to escape their underground prisons and murder Ceon and his family, after they figure out how Ceon can see into their minds.

Tijo and Avee plan to destroy humanity and take their rightful place as Earth’s apex predators. While carefully navigating the strict Government Network that runs New World City, Ceon must discover whether Tijo and Avee are a Network simulation meant to test his loyalty, real creatures intent on killing every person on the planet, or his own diseased mind on the verge of collapse.
